
What do teachers do all summer? Well, here is a great example! Ms. MacWhinnie and Ms. McKnight visited the Secondary Literacy Institute in Orlando. While there, they spent time learning new ways to support the development of skiilled reading in secondary students, built knowledge of evidence-based practices for planning and delivering ELA lessons, and so much more!

Stone is sad to bid farewell to Ms. Karen Breedlove. Ms. Breedlove has been a member of the Stone custodial team for the past nine years. We are sorry to see her leave but excited for her as she takes the next step of her life in retirement. Peace Out, Karen!

Stone is excited to welcome another new Gopher, Ms. Forte, as an addition to our math department. Ms. Forte comes to Stone with twenty plus years experience in a wide variety of education positions. We are excited to welcome her to the Gopher family!

Today is Flag Day! Flag Day is celebrated to honor the day in 1777 when the flag was officially recognized by the United States.


Students in Dr. Alexander's critical and creative thinking class were tasked with the engineering challenge of making a free-standing ring using only Pringle chips. This was a culminating activity wrapping up their bridge study..


Science research students in Dr. Alexander's class wrapped up their year by conducting squid dissections. Students, whether doing dissection or alternate study, learned the anatomy and adaptations of squid.

2025 GE Vernova Girls STEAM Camp Registration is now open! This is a FREE camp that has been offered to our Stone students since 2017. The camp is being hosted at the GE facility off of Nasa Blvd.


Tomorrow's exam schedule is period 6 and 7 with period 4 in-between for lunches. This is an early release day. Students will be done at 3:oopm. Please remember, students are NOT allowed to bring their backpacks.


Our Stone students provided yet another fantastic concert on Thursday under the direction of Mr. Castro.
